Remember my post about my decision to be a fat bride? I am SO glad I didn’t stress about my weight before my wedding. I got all my pictures back, I looked fabulous, and Brett thinks I am gorgeous no matter what. I am so glad to finally share my wedding outfit of the day with you all!
I have a good story about this dress, too. You see, I bought a dress back in November of 2013 for the wedding. I loved it, it fit like a glove, and I was excited to wear it for the wedding. Between getting the dress and the end of April 2014, I tried it back on and I didn’t have the same feelings toward it. The dress still fit, but I felt like my boobs were too out for the event (even though they looked SUPER good.) I decided the WEEK BEFORE MY WEDDING that I was going to get a new dress. (Needless to say I have a gorgeous size 24 dress for sale for $150! If you want more details or might be interested…let me know!)
My dress turned out to fit my wedding perfectly. Everyone complimented it and said it was perfect, so I am very happy with my last-minute, bridal-freak out moment…as it resulted in my perfect dress. My favorite part of this dress was that it had POCKETS! It was very convenient to be able to keep my wedding day lipstick and my phone in my pocket. The train on the dress was pretty short, but long enough to prove that I was a bride. ;)
I wore light pink/nude heels and switched to my Lower East Side (of course) nude flats before actually walking down the aisle. The heel of my pink shoes was so thin that it kept getting caught in the lace of my dress. I didn’t want to have a face-planting moment as I was walking down to get married!! By the end of the night, Brett and I ended it in our Nike’s. Brett loves tennis shoes and Nike is his shoe of choice, so I thought it would be cute to get a pic of us snapped both wearing them with our dressy wedding digs.
My Wedding Outfit Details:
