First Aid Beauty Purifying Mask with Red Clay
What I liked:
- The texture: This is a sticky, gel-like texture that feels cooling when applied. I liked it a lot. It was an interesting break from the muddy masks I’m used to.
- The feeling on-face: Once this mask dries, it gives you that tight, “working” feeling on your face.
- The end result: This mask left my face feeling very clean and purified.
- The packaging: Tube packaging makes the most sense to me. Of course, it can’t be used for everything, but the packaging of this product is simple and easy. Plus, I love a good red, white & blue color scheme.
- The price: It’s $30.00 which is pretty inexpensive for a mask, but make sure you try before you buy!!! (See below.)
What I didn’t like:
- The removal: I could go on and on and on about the removal of this product! IT KILLED IT FOR ME. No matter how much I loved the results or the price or anything else, this mask took 20 minutes for me to remove. It did not want to budge. I had to scrape at my face to get a corner started, then it would peel off a tiny section and I would have to do it again. I ended up having to used a rag to scrub off the rest of it because I just couldn’t take it anymore. (See photos below.)
Conclusion:
I won’t buy this product. I think face masks should be relaxing- not stress me out because I can’t remove it in a timely manner! While the results were good, I am just not happy enough with them to spend 20 minutes removing. #sorrynotsorry This, my friends is a #productfail. Definitely try before you buy if you are still interested in this one.
For a mask I LOVE and use weekly, check out the Glamglow Supermud. It’s a much better purifying/detoxing type of treatment.
