Weekend Update
My husband and I went on a weekend road trip to Canada to celebrate a friend’s wedding. Our friend Janelle helped SO much with our wedding. Her sister was a bridesmaid in my wedding and she ended up just being the most helpful, lovely person the whole time. Also, she is the lady who caught the bouquet at my wedding, so I felt like a big part in the wedding. ;) We were ecstatic to help her celebrate her day!
Anyway, it took around 9 hours to get to Canada, then we went right to bed once we got in. The next morning, we got up, went to breakfast and then lounged around the hotel until the 1pm wedding. The wedding was lovely! She literally looked like a PRINCESS. She’s just a stunning woman anyway. They served Jones Soda afterward with some cake.
After that, there was a bit of time for Brett and I to hang out and have lunch/go shopping before the reception. I found a drug store and got a few things! I got the Scrub Your Nose in It and Fab Pore products by Soap & Glory. You guys know how I love Soap & Glory. It’s a UK brand for some reason Canada and US only stock a tiny bit in stores. (You can get them on Amazon a lot though- see links above.) This drug store had some things they don’t usually stock in the US and for half off, so I helped myself. I also got a Konjac sponge by Quo (similar). I’ve been looking for one of these for a while now.
After the mall, Brett and I made our way to our friend’s home where the reception was held. It was fabulous and the home is amazing. I wouldn’t have expected anything else. I was so happy to see Janelle and Breana for the short bit of time we did, but can’t wait until we have some more time with them. (They were pretty busy getting a wedding put together!)
The next day, Brett and I had breakfast and then headed home. We decided to stop off at an outlet mall west of Toronto and I ran into a wonderful Kate Spade Outlet. They had an AMAZING sale happening and I am SO SO glad we stopped in. I ended up getting a purse, wallet, and passport case all for around $125 USD. I couldn’t be happier with my little Kate Spade haul.

We didn’t get to do too much in our short time there, but we did get to stop for some Timbits and I had this LOVELY blueberry muffin from Tim Horton’s. We don’t have them here in Indianapolis!!
Our last stop on the way home (besides Chipotle, even though I wanted Q’doba…) was the Hollywood Casino near Toledo, OH. I got lucky on a slot machine and tripled my money! This game was introduced to me by Brett’s mom, and it’s always a fun, lucky one for me. :)
You want me to get all cheesy? No? Too bad. The BEST part of the whole trip was spending the time with my awesome husband. He’s just the super cutest. <3
