When I started seeing British beauty bloggers/vloggers talking about La Palette Nude Beige- I was sold. I thought the packaging was really smart and it seemed to be really simple but pretty. When we got them here I was pretty excited, but have realized they are not the same as they are in the UK. In the US, they are called La Palette Nude 1 (and 2.) They have similar shape/style, but the British version is much more sleek. (I like their packaging better than here in the US.) The shadows are really similar in tone, but just looking at the palettes, you can see a difference in order and shades.
With that being said, I still picked up this lovely palette and think the shadows are great! It’s similar to the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette in my opinion. It’s very similar in tone/colors, but the quality isn’t as great. The surprising thing is that the matte colors in this palette are better than the shimmery ones, which is not usually the case in most palettes- high end or drugstore.
This palette retails for $17.99, and the Naked 3 palette is $54. Of course the quality of La Palette Nude isn’t quite as great as UD Naked 3, but dollar for dollar, I would say they are very comparable. I do like this palette more than the Maybelline The Blushed Nudes palette. (Although it is about $8 more expensive as well.)
So would I recommend this one? Of course I would! It’s a great neutral eyeshadow palette. It is not quite as pigmented as some more high end brands, but it is still long-lasting, has some great colors, and is easy to work with. I recommend this for beginners especially, but anyone who doesn’t want to pay an arm and a leg for an eyeshadow palette would be impressed!
