I love my husband. I love spending time with him and just being near him in general. Sometimes life gets so busy that we forget to stop to take a moment to really treasure the close relationships that we have. As we head into fall, I have been searching for some great ways to ignite passion and excitement in my marriage.

When I was thinking about my own relationship, I realized that this ties in perfectly with the fact that I have an anniversary party to attend in a few weeks! I came up with a really great group of items to include in a basket to help enhance intimacy and make for a better relationship in the long run. They make for an awesome date night, and would be great for any couple: whether they have been together for a few months or many many years. Bottle of Wine- Nothing gets conversation flowing better than wine! Go for a nice bottle of red (I like a sweet red, myself) and you won’t just start talking, but you will feel more relaxed and cozy as well! (Plus you will feel classy with each sip.)

Good Chocolates- A natural aphrodisiac, this snack has an ulterior motive! I like to just think that I am indulging in something I don’t usually get too much of, but isn’t there something about a nice truffle that makes you feel decadent and special?

Mood-Setting Candle- There sure is something sensual about a candle-lit glow illuminating a room. Including a candle in the basket is sure to help set the mood of the evening!

Getting to Know You Better Jar- You write intimate questions on popsicle sticks and put them in a jar. Take turns drawing them and asking each other the questions. This can spark physical intimacy or stimulate your minds.
