I could really call this look “Haley” inspired, as I really wouldn’t have thought as much about Sharon Tate if it not be for her. Haley is a co-worker and dear friend of mine, and is one of the most unique (in a good way) individuals I know. The joy of Haley is how hard she cares for people, and that goes for her friends and her celebrity followings, if you will.
Although Haley and I bonded over our mutual love and appreciation of all things John Mayer, she has an awesome, interesting thing going with her love and appreciation for Sharon Tate. You can see some of her print collection of Sharon’s photos on her Instagram, @SharonTate4ever. You should definitely head over and give her a follow!
I could go on about Haley and how wonderful she is for days, but I really want to get to the inspiration behind this #PSOOTD. Simply put, I saw this dress at a Burlington Coat Factory and it reminded me of a Sharon photo I had seen before. While the dress didn’t end up being exactly like Sharon’s butterfly dress (pictured) and I am no model with amazing bone structure- nor do I have that amazing Sharon figure, I decided to grab the dress, and snap a few photos. I think it’s fun to have some pieces in your wardrobe that remind you of the past or of something sentimental or is inspired by someone interesting!
Who inspires you? Think about it! When you are walking through the mall or browsing online, who is inspiring your choices? I know my regulars are some cool YouTubers, a few models, brand image, etc. I just love that this outfit had a whole story of inspiration behind it!
I sometimes put together an outfit I like and think “Hmmm, I bet Taylor Swift would like this”! I love getting inspired by friends, celebs and other bloggers!
