AKA THE BEST FOUNDATION EVER

I wanted a new foundation a few months back, and I happened to have a Nordstrom Note (yay, free money!) So I headed to their beauty counters in search of a great foundation. I kind of had my heart set on Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide, so I had the person working the counter color match.

I don’t know WHAT happened in this color matching session, because I saw what they matched me to and it seemed to work. The lighting in Nordstrom is seriously NOT great, but I know it’s not THIS bad. I’m thinking they grabbed the wrong bottle when they went to ring me up.

It was basically ORANGE on my skin, so I decided to return it the next day. I was just planning on swapping it out for a new one, but the guy working at the counter when I came back was VERY helpful. He recommended a different foundation totally for the perfect color match and said from what I was wearing on my face THAT day, that he thinks the coverage and finish would be right up my alley.

He gave me the Laura Mercier Candleglow Soft Luminous Foundation, and HOLY WOW, he was soooo right This foundation has basically everything I look for in one, and it is a great color match for me. (Which honestly can be hard to do!)

I apply this foundation with a damp beauty blender, it stays all day, and it has a light to medium coverage. If you’re looking for a new foundation that ticks all the marks I’ve mentioned, then this one is your next buy! I have no negative complaints!
