I am a blogging fan. Whenever anyone tells me they are thinking of starting a blog, I get all DO IT RIGHT NOW! I probably get overly enthusiastic, but I am just so in love with it for myself that I want everyone else to try it and love it too. I figured I would start sharing some of my favorite posts with you monthly. I’m happy to give reading suggestions and props to bloggers I love- whether they blog about fashion, food, life, books, or whatever I’m into reading at the moment, I am happy to share them with you all!
This rendition is ONLY Indy bloggers. I love my Indy Blogger community, so this first one is heavy on them. I’m sure I will feature a lot of local babes, but this one is especially Indy. Check out my five favorite posts from May below!
MADDY CORBIN- HOW I GET PICTURES AND SOCIAL CONTENT WHEN I’M ALONE
I’m a long-time follower of social media guru and lifestyle blogger, Maddy Corbin. Recently, she launched mentorship classes, which I am definitely considering so I can rack her brain for a while. She’s an Indy cutie whom I’ve never met, but I love her style, and admire her creativity, business-mind, and just about everything else.
This post is awesome to me, because I am always needing my photos taken. I remember seeing the picture above and thinking to myself, “WOW, I like this photographer.” When I read this post and realized she is her own photographer a lot, I was impressed. I also like the nudge to ask a stranger to snap some pictures. I am going to have to try that soon and hope they don’t just snatch my camera…
KELLI BASTIN- FUNKY SPRING FLATS UNDER $50
Who doesn’t love a good deal? When I look at my friend Kelli’s posts, I NEVER think she looks cheap, yet she is one of the thriftiest people I know. I love the idea of rounding up favorites, and Kelli has awesome fashion taste that I can’t get enough of. Plus she’s SO FREAKING CUTE and the blue flats she’s wearing are simply amazing.
KATE RUDDELL- DIVING DELECTIABLES OCEAN PRIME INDIANAPOLIS
Kate is a new blogger in Indianapolis, and I am already loving Into Indy SO MUCH! As long as I’ve known her (since years before she was a blogger) she has been an Indianapolis enthusiast and a total babe. She’s traveled around, lived in different cities, and she’s back in Indy and making this city her…well, you know.
I’m loving the restaurant reviews she’s done so far, so I knew this Ocean Prime one would be no different. The best part is that she took us along on the trip via InstaStories, so I felt like I already got a taste before her post went live!
SARAH HARRELL- RED, WHITE, AND…
Sarah is a sarcastic dream of a lady. I love her preppy style, mixed with that fun bit of edge or flare that she has. She posts more outfits than any of my other blogger friends, and as a blogger, I know how much work goes into styling, linking, writing, etc. just to make ONE outfit post- so hats off to her! This post is a favorite, in particular. I love anything red, white, and blue!
Another style of post I love are her blogger budgeting posts. I love the realness and transparency behind these. Also, it’s some serious blogger goals, because I am not HALF as organized enough to know how much my budget is per month and how much I spend. I’m just a mess.
KARINA RESKE- SKINCARE TRENDS 2017 FACIAL MASKS
Karina is a serious treat. She is SO SWEET, and I am almost certain she has 48 hours in EVERY day, because she makes amazing posts, is a mom, has a regular job, has been doing YouTube videos, and SHE COMMENTS ON EVERYONE’S PHOTOS. I have a hard time even making sure to like all my blogger friends’ photos. I find myself going through and liking weeks worth at a time, but somehow Karina stays current, and goes the extra mile. I see you, girl.
