The more I grow into myself and develop my sense of self, the more I want to go all natural. Okay, MOSTLY natural! I still love the act of applying makeup, I just want to let my skin shine through and use less makeup more often. I’m working on simplifying so many aspects of my life and not making extra work for myself. This all starts with taking care of myself, paying extra attention to important details, and making sure I am giving 100% to my overall well-being.
This post is in collaboration with Nature Made® Adult Gummy Vitamins and is all about how I allow myself more #NOMAKEUPDAYS by taking care of my skin, starting from the inside out. Read below to see the simple things I do to keep my skin looking great to keep as little makeup on as possible!
DRINK WATER
I have to tell myself to do this over and over, but it’s SO IMPORTANT! When I do drink the recommended amount of water, I notice that I begin to experience less breakouts, redness, and experience an overall glow about my skin that I wouldn’t regularly! What’s the recommended amount of water to have, you ask? Many say it’s half your body weight in ounces! If you weigh 200 lbs, then you should have 100 oz of water per day. Pretty do-able, and it helps regulate your body more too!
EAT YOUR VITAMINS
I take a whole slew of vitamins. It’s so important to nourish your body from the inside out, and what you put in your body can have a huge effect on your skin, hair, nails, and even teeth! Since I’m a kid at heart, I love the gummy version of all the Nature Made® vitamins. Below is an overview of a few of my favorites, and why I love them!
CLEANSE & EXFOLIATE
Be sure to regularly wash and lightly exfoliate your skin. This helps remove dead skin and impurities that build up from the day like makeup, dirt, and air pollution. It ultimately helps to alleviate the abundance of break outs and make your skin clear and ready to take on your moisturizer!
MOISTURIZE
Especially in the winter, it’s important to moisturize your face, but you SHOULD be doing it year-round! If you think you “don’t need moisturizer” because you have oily skin, you should think again! Using a moisturizer can actually help balance your skin and let it take a break from overcompensating by producing oil! It’s also really important to keep your lips hydrated. Hydration and moisturizer are key to having glowy, soft skin that’s perfect for no makeup days!
PROTECT YOUR SKIN
I want to follow up with the moisturize step by telling you to make sure you use an SPF! It’s so important to protect your skin from UV rays. I try to wear SPF on my face daily- even in the winter! Of course, you can protect your skin from the elements by dressing properly, wearing hats, using umbrellas in the sun, or just staying out of direct sunlight in general! We know it’s not always a possibly, and sometimes you MUST go to the beach, but you can use your best judgement, SPF, and a nice shady spot to give your skin a break!
If you are looking to take care of yourself from the inside out, head to your local retailer where Nature Made® Adult Gummy Vitamins are sold, and grab some to add to your daily regimen! How do you keep your skin looking glowy and fresh?
Loving the gummy vitamins. I ran out a little while ago so I’ll be adding these to my list next time I hit Walmart! They are so delicious!

I always forget to take my vitamins, but it’s so important!! Maybe if I get gummies I’ll remember more… :)
Gummy vitamins are my fav! I take them every day!
Great roundup! I love taking days off from makeup to let my skin breathe!
I have pill vitamins I must get through before I can get these but I’m DEFINITELY making the switch. Horse pills are too much for me. Bleugh.
