Sometimes, I can get fancied up. I can put on my favorite black dress, some heels, and head to a nice dinner with my husband. I’m not saying it happens often. I’d say, usually our date nights are ordering in some Chinese takeout and binging on Friends. Which also happens to be a normal night. Can you tell we are married with no kids? We lead SUCH an exciting life!

Now, on to this outfit! I love wearing black. I can’t help it, it’s just what I like! But I also love to spice up a simple black dress with some bright accessories for a fun look. Bright BLUE seems to be a really fun one that I go to often, especially with this super cute clutch Brett got me a few years ago! I’m also a huge fan of everything pale blue, and the outfit would have been fun either way! At the same time, you could pair the dress with some neutral accessories for a more serious event for a totally different vibe.

I love this black dress in particular, because it is more on the modest side with the sleeves and the neck line, but it’s shorter so you can let a bit of skin show without being too much. I have linked some dresses below with a similar look or vibe, since I got this one on a major sale at ASOS a few months back and it’s not available. Womp, wompppp!
